| We have teamed up with eBay to organise a HyperThinker workshop for entrepreneurs on June 16th. On 15 February Meg Whitman, CEO of eBay, told the European Parliament how her company is now a major engine for the job market - 430,000 users just in the United States make most of their living on eBay.com. She also predicted massive job growth in Europe. The Eurocrat’s eyes glinted, and our perspective shifted: Like all other workers, eBAYPRENEURS are going to need specialised job skills training. And whatever names the courses will eventually get, HyperShifting, Hyperlinking, MetaThinking, and HyperActing is going to be part of the curriculum. Learn how to leverage the Internet at this session in Brussels. Sale of tickets has started - on eBay. |

I will be interested to hear about these eBaypreneurs. At my graduation ceremony a Dean from the School of Management at Bonston University described himself as an international antiques dealer with customers all over the world. He confessed he was a stamp trade on eBay. But what is the difference? The difference lies in your thinking. You can open an eBay shop or just sell online and if you think like the Dean from Boston University, you will indeed be a global player.

Of course they'd like that! No offices, no labor costs, no pensions to worry about! Sure - lot's of jobs, no worries for the politicians. But tell me - who will produces all the goods sold on eBay? Or will we become world of "wintage wearers"?
