Free mind is a free mind-mapping software written in Java. A mind map (see wikipedia definition) is a diagram used to represent words and ideas linked to and arranged radially around a central key word or idea. "Free mind is a good alternative. I like the fact that it's open source," says Philip Weiss on 12 May 2005.

Willem-Jan Jansen, strategic marketeer at SwapAce, (link to his profile on Linkedin) writes: "Have a look at Life Balance . It forces you to think about what you think is important in life and how the things you do contribute to that. And then it functions like a kind of ToDo list that gives suggestions what you should to at a certain moment. A sort of '7 habits' meets 'Getting Things Done'. I tried if for a month and was really astonished how well it works. I had the idea that I was being more productive and relevant."
